Release notes for version 2017.1.28.0.
There are now separate VSIX package installers for Visual Studio 2013 and Visual Studio 2015 and later. This is required due to the new VSIX 3 format needed by Visual Studio 2017.
The VSIX package installers now run interactively for removing and installing the packages due to the Visual Studio 2017 version's insistence on shutting down all running Visual Studio processes before installing the package content.
